FAQ

The questions I get asked most.

Ownership, pricing, timelines, hosting, and support: everything clients ask before we start.

Project Ownership & Access

Yes. You own your website and all related assets. How it's hosted and managed after launch is flexible and depends on the setup we choose together.

Yes. Even when I manage hosting and services on your behalf, your website and data remain yours. Access can be provided at any time if requested.

Absolutely. Some clients prefer a full handover, while others choose ongoing management. You can switch between options if your needs change.

Website Pricing & Project Details

Custom-coded websites start from $1,000 AUD (currently 20% off the standard $1,250 rate as a founding client offer, through Dec 31, 2026), covering up to 3 pages. That's a starting price: larger builds, extra pages, or added features like a CMS dashboard are quoted individually based on what you need, so your final price may be higher depending on scope. Get in touch for a clear, personalised quote.

On average, websites are completed in 7 business days, with a maximum of 14 days. I prioritise speed so clients receive their product quickly, without ever compromising on quality.

Nothing upfront beyond a short blurb about your business. I build your initial preview using that and photography that fits your industry. Once you're happy and want to move forward, you send over your real photos, copy, and branding, and I drop them in before final delivery.

Yes. All websites are fully responsive and tested across devices and browsers to ensure a seamless experience on every screen.

Websites are built with an SEO-friendly structure, meta tags, and speed optimisation. Ongoing SEO campaigns or marketing are quoted separately if required.

Hosting, Management & Ongoing Care

Yes. I offer an optional managed care plan where I handle hosting, monitoring, and performance so you don't have to.

Managed care is $74.99 AUD per month, billed monthly. No lock-in, cancel anytime with 7 days notice.

Managed care includes: Hosting and deployment management, Uptime and basic security monitoring, Performance oversight, Analytics tracking and review, A short monthly performance summary, One small-scale limited monthly revision.

A small-scale revision generally includes minor text or image changes that don't involve major design, layout, or development work. You're entitled to one revision per month, and whether a request qualifies is determined at my discretion to ensure fair use. I aim to give clients a fair amount of change, so one revision period may include several small adjustments.

Managed care does not include new features, new pages, major design changes, content creation, SEO campaigns, or marketing work. These are quoted separately if required.

Changes & Support

Yes. Managed care includes limited minor, non-development updates such as small text or image changes. Larger updates or repeated changes are quoted separately.

Support requests are typically responded to within 1 business day for managed clients.

For managed sites, uptime and performance are monitored. Modern hosting infrastructure is highly reliable, but if an issue occurs, it's addressed as soon as possible once detected.

Analytics & Reporting

Yes. For managed sites, I provide a monthly performance summary outlining how your website is being used and how it's performing.

Monthly summaries may include visitor numbers and trends, page activity and usage, traffic volume and request activity, bandwidth usage, and general performance observations. The focus is on clear, meaningful insights, not raw technical data.

Direct access isn't always practical as analytics platforms are managed centrally. However, I can provide clear summaries, screenshots, or exports of relevant data upon request.

Flexibility, Cancellation & Handover

No. Managed care is month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time.

Cancellations should be requested at least 7 days before the next billing date to ensure a smooth handover. Late requests may result in the following billing cycle being charged or an additional handover fee.

Your website remains fully yours. I'll prepare a clean handover of hosting and services so you can manage the site yourself or move to another provider.

Yes. You can switch to managed care anytime after launch. A small setup fee applies to cover the work involved in activating hosting, monitoring, and ongoing management.
